State Visit to Japan by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE)

Abu Dhabi Oil Company Limited (Representative Director and President: Masashi Nakayama) extends its heartfelt welcome to His Highness the President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan ahead of his state visit to Japan, the first such visit in 36 years since the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan 's state visit as President in 1990.

The state visit, scheduled for this February, represents a significant opportunity to reaffirm, and emphasize both domestically and internationally, the longstanding friendly relations between Japan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). We believe it will serve as a major milestone for the further development of bilateral ties.

Since becoming the first Japanese company to commence oil production in the UAE, we have maintained continuous operations for over 55 years, working alongside the Emirate of Abu Dhabi to advance the energy sector. The trust cultivated during this long period constitutes the cornerstone of our business activities and symbolizes the cooperative relationship between Japan and the UAE.

We sincerely hope that this state visit will provide an opportunity to further deepen that cooperative relationship not only in energy, but across a wide range of fields, including economic, cultural, and people-to-people exchanges, and that it will lead to new forms of collaboration and development for the next generation.
